Derek McBurney
Derek McBurney is a web integration analyst at the University of Calgary as well as a freelance web designer, developer and consultant. In addition to his web work, Derek contributes his time to the environmental community in Calgary, running a sustainable living blog titled CalgaryUrbanite, and teaching Junior High school students about sustainability with 'my world, my choice!'.
When Derek isn't hunched over his computer working away at websites (while on twitter no less), he can usually be found at events like Green Drinks and Democamp, enjoying some fine dining, playing co-ed recreational soccer, hiking in the Canadian Rockies, or out on the road exploring - tunes in hand.
